Terms & Conditions
The High School of Glasgow – Booking Terms and Conditions
By booking a place on any High School of Glasgow programme through ClassForKids, parents/carers agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Bookings and place allocation
All bookings must be made through ClassForKids and are subject to availability.
A place is only secured once the ClassForKids booking process has been completed and the required payment or valid card details have been provided.
Parents/carers are responsible for selecting the correct programme, dates and/or sessions at the time of booking.
2. Payment
Payment arrangements vary by programme.
For Holiday Hub, full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
For the HSOG Warrior Programme, monthly subscription payments are used to manage payment plans. Although ClassForKids may display the payment arrangement as a subscription, payments apply only during the active programme payment period.
All stated prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
3. Cancellations, refunds and changes
Bookings are programme-specific and may not automatically be transferred to another programme or child.
For Holiday Hub:
- Cancellations made 28 days or more before the start of a booked week will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made 7–27 days before the start of a booked week may be offered a session swap, subject to availability.
- No refunds or session swaps are available within 7 days of the start date.
- Refunds cannot be issued for individual missed days or partial attendance.
For the HSOG Warrior Programme:
- Bookings are made for a programme block, not for individual drop-in sessions.
- Missed sessions are not refundable, including absence due to illness, injury, holidays, school commitments, club commitments or other personal circumstances.
- If a pupil withdraws part-way through a block, refunds or credits will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of The High School of Glasgow.
- Parents/carers must contact the programme team in writing if they wish to withdraw or change the number of evenings attended.
If The High School of Glasgow has to cancel a session or programme, we will aim to reschedule or offer an appropriate alternative where possible. If this is not possible, a credit, transfer or refund may be offered.
4. Programme changes and minimum numbers
All programmes are subject to minimum participant numbers.
The High School of Glasgow reserves the right to make reasonable changes to activities, session content, facilities, staffing, groupings, timings or venues where necessary.
Published calendars are provisional and may be subject to change due to fixtures, staffing, facility availability, weather or other operational requirements.
5. Attendance, arrival and collection
Children and young people should arrive on time and be collected promptly at the end of their booked session.
Parents/carers must ensure that participants bring suitable clothing, footwear, water and any required medication.
The High School of Glasgow must be informed in advance if someone other than the named parent/carer will be collecting a participant.
Late collection outside booked session times or wraparound hours may result in additional charges and/or refusal of future bookings.
6. Health, medical information and additional support needs
Parents/carers must provide accurate and up-to-date medical, allergy, injury, emergency contact and additional support information at the time of booking.
Parents/carers must notify the programme team of any changes to this information before their child attends.
If a child or young person has additional support needs, medical requirements or requires reasonable adjustments, parents/carers should contact us in advance so we can discuss how best to support safe and positive participation.
Participants should not attend if they are unwell or injured in a way that would make participation unsafe.
By booking, parents/carers give permission for trained staff to administer basic first aid if required and to seek emergency medical assistance where necessary.
7. Behaviour and conduct
We aim to provide a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all participants.
Children and young people are expected to:
- follow staff instructions;
- treat others with respect;
- use facilities and equipment appropriately;
- participate safely in activities.
The High School of Glasgow reserves the right to remove a participant from a session or programme if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, inappropriate or repeatedly below expected standards. In such cases, refunds will not normally be provided.
8. Mobile phones and personal belongings
Mobile phone use may be restricted during programme time unless explicitly permitted by staff.
Participants should not bring valuable personal items. The High School of Glasgow cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings.
9. Photography and media
Photography or filming may be used for coaching, internal review or promotional purposes only where appropriate consent has been given.
Consent preferences will be collected during the booking process and will be respected.
Parents/carers may update photography and media permissions by contacting the relevant programme team.
10. Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of participants is our priority.
All participants are expected to follow staff instructions and remain within supervised programme areas.
Parents/carers should raise any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns with the relevant programme team as soon as possible.
11. Data protection and communication
Information provided through ClassForKids will be used to administer bookings, process payments, communicate with families and support the safety and wellbeing of participants.
Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring that contact details held on ClassForKids are accurate and up to date.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with UK GDPR and The High School of Glasgow’s privacy arrangements.
Programme updates will normally be shared by email.
12. Holiday Hub specific terms
Holiday Hub camps run from 10.00am–4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Optional wraparound care may be available:
- Morning: 8.00am–10.00am
- Afternoon: 4.00pm–6.00pm
Wraparound care must be booked in advance via ClassForKids and is charged per session. There is no discounted or weekly wraparound rate unless otherwise stated.
Holiday Hub is generally a phone-free environment during the camp day unless explicitly permitted by staff for an activity.
13. HSOG Warrior Programme specific terms
The HSOG Warrior Programme is a performance-focused rugby development programme delivered at The High School of Glasgow’s Anniesland Campus.
The programme is open to boys and girls from S1–S6 and is suitable for motivated young players looking to develop their rugby skills, physical preparation, confidence and understanding of the game.
The programme includes age-appropriate strength and conditioning, cardio and endurance work, on-field rugby coaching, position-specific development and performance education.
The HSOG Warrior Programme is separate from the HSOG Rugby Academy pathway. There is no selection process for the Warrior Programme.
Places are limited to 24 athletes per evening. Parents/carers should select each evening they wish their child to attend. For example, if a child wishes to attend Monday and Wednesday, both the Monday and Wednesday classes should be booked.
If a parent/carer books more than one evening per week, or books more than one child, ClassForKids may initially place the booking on a temporary subscription plan. This is expected. The programme team will review the booking and assign the correct payment plan before payments begin.
The programme includes age-appropriate strength and conditioning activities. Training will be supervised and adapted according to age, stage, experience and physical readiness. The High School of Glasgow reserves the right to modify a pupil’s participation if staff consider this necessary for safety, wellbeing or developmental reasons.
The programme will use HSOG training facilities, including the Cardio and Endurance Suite, Strength and Conditioning Suite and appropriate outdoor training spaces.
